I'm planning on running just this 1 event. Just wish it was 1 mile instead of 1/2.

Me too...I am looking into it and hoping to run the US Mile in March 2020???

I put down that I was 900. I’m sandbagging 😁 We saw 1100whp yesterday at a miserable 100 degrees (4000 ft DA) with 24 lbs of boost. Traction is going to be a challenge.

If you’re talking about the Phoenix street car takeover... I’m planning on doing that. I’ll be driving back to Utah for the week and then returning for that.

They are running Friday night and sat. Morning. If you hook you will fly. I was thinking of going one of the two days. If I hook it will be one and done.

Friday night is test and tune.
Saturday will be crazy. Street Take over.
I was thinking of going Friday night.

Well.... lol. For a first outing... I’ll take it. I kinda figured that with the combination of the power and 3.25 gear..... getting it to the track was going to be a challenge. Especially on that old runway. I ended up having to use the paddles to shift. The trans didn’t want to do it on it’s own so after two try’s..... I gave up and went to the paddles. Short shifting up to 4th gear to roll into the power and then full peddle down in 5th got it going. I hit the finish line in 7th at 176 mph. The outside air temp at the time I finally made that pass was 100 degrees with a 3300 DA. So... I’ll call a semi-successful first time out. Good thing was that it was smooth. With all the new DSS stuff and those big sidewall tires I was expecting some vibration. None! As smooth as could be.

Like wise! Overall a good time. Just too flipping hot to have to deal with. Most of the Hellcats that didn’t have additional cooling mods couldn’t even get to the end of the track under full power without mother nanny intervening. I think Omega must have gotten a talking to because I heard they are going to have another one in December. When summer is actually over in Arizona. Great meeting everyone!

It is not easy with a new setup. It takes time to learn especially with that horsepower and an old airport track. Glad you had fun though.

Yes. The ice tank is a huge help for something like this. When I made a pass with the tank topped off with ice (all seven gallons) on top of a interchiller cooled half tank, I saw IC temps in the 30’s with the full tank good for the whole half mile. IAT topped out at 120 on that run. On my last pass (out of ice) just using the interchiller, the IAT peaked at 160. If by motor you mean pump.... my EMP tank has the big outside pump on it and the stock IC pump has been removed.
