Guess Dodge had to make the catch phrase of their ad "guilty as charged". Given how woke and PC Dodge has come, I guess the more accurate catch phrase of "gay AF" would not really work for them now.

I'm starting to believe that they never had any intention of keeping Dodge or Chrysler. They just want to "cash out" on the way out.

I recall reading somewhere while the deal was being negotiated they were mostly interested in buying the Jeep & Ram segments and didn't give a shit about the other lines. They still foolishly believe they can jam their POS Fiat & Alpha crap down our throats

Just heard today that Jeep is introducing some EVs tomorrow. Suicide by woke.

They say with 4wd you just get stuck farther out. With EVs you’ll get stuck closer in.

@Speedy!, knowing this was Dodge's ultimate plan its no wonder you were not picked. Now it makes sense.

Sadly, there are enough appliance drivers out there that EV's will make up at least 30% of cars on the road if not more.

Then depending on who is in power, will we all be forced into them or will they realize we are just fine with both on the road.

Unless they try to outlaw gasoline and or ethanol fuels we don't HAVE to do anything. I always kinda scratch my head when people say "we don't have a choice".

What if Dodge, GM, and Ford all told the gubment "hey we can't meet those cafe reqs, wanna rethink that before we shut down production and close our plants costing tens of thousands of people their jobs?"....what would happen then? The reason the car companies aren't doing that is because they're getting kick backs of our tax dollars to make electric cars and they want the cash grab. Tell me I'm wrong.

The reason the car companies aren't doing that is because they're getting kick backs of our tax dollars to make electric cars and they want the cash grab. Tell me I'm wrong.
And their stockholders would go ape shit. There would be huge legal actions that would stop anything like that because it would destroy the stock value of some of the largest US corporations. They very well could even be sued for breach of contract, malfeasence and whole host of other things. Now, IF the owners of the company all agreed to shut it down, then by all means they are free to do so. But in the United States almost zero % of most companies are owned by the top leaders, and that precludes things like destroying the value of other peoples property (and they likely signed agreements making it impossible for them to wreck the company without serious legal and financial consequences and also that they would comply with all laws and regulations of the nation states in which the company operates). So, absent a closely held company, or a major effort to buy back control, trying to tell the government that these things aren't doable and trashing the big three (or whatever we want to call them, since they're actually global and massively interconnect) is not really viable.
