Got the wheels and now I understand what you are saying. With the suspension hanging the wheels hit the sway bar and you can't put them on. If I jack under the control arm they probably would fit. But if the suspension unweights enough during driving, it'll hit. Seems like the shorter links are the better way to go.

I'm guessing this is a Challenger only problem.

Thanks for the help.
Nope. Chargers too. Same suspension.

The Bwoody shorter links are an excellent solution. I have those and they're pretty nice.

Shrug, mine weigh 38lbs with M&H Racemaster front runners on them and were like $300 for both. I'm still trying to figure out why people have trouble with them.

I looked at buying some Billet Specialties just for something different, but they weren't any lighter, or at least not enough to matter.
Are they the end of the world and impossible, no. The right socket helps but the washers and deep hole sometime you have to fiddle with them. I only had them on a few times so no where as many as you to figure it out better. Are they easy like my forgestars, nope

I'm in on my fronts wheels and tires $700 so pretty cheap

I've been using mine for 5 years, haven't replaced washers or lugs. All these horror stories. I must be smarter than all of ya'll or something :ROFLMAO:
Reading the comments maybe you got perfect ones because I haven't heard anyone liking them

I bought VMS fronts and they match the Weld beadlocks I just got.

That is possible. How much do the forgestars weigh? Assuming 18x5?

I had the same set up as you. The forgestar with same tires were 4 to 5 lbs lighter each

Thinking closer to 4

I think is is another one where is the cost saving worth it. We try to get away with cheaper mods when we can but sometime a little more money is worth more in the long run. The forgestar do cost more but are lighter and easier to deal with the lug nuts

When I bought mine options were more limited as well.

I hated the Racestars at first. Had an epiphany on the right socket and not another problem

Anyone know how much shorter the "short" Challenger sway bar end links are vs. OEM? I'm tempted to make my own. Yeah, I know it's only $120, but I'm retired and have time.:)

Shouldn't you verify the weight before you buy it?
You really don't know the weight until you weigh them. I found wheels and tires are not always right on what is listed. I didn't buy them because they were lighter, it was a bonus

I "made" my own from stock ones on my old car. From memory it was 1" but I think I have a video of it.

I cut 1" out of my stock ones. Used a bushing the size of the rod and welded it up. 50+ 1/4 runs and its all good so far.

Mine have to clear Hellcat brakes. Not giving those up so I think 18s are needed.

18’s are for sure needed with the stock brakes.
