  • This Hemi Cuda is the most expensive Mopar ever. It just became the most expensive Mopar ever sold at auction. Said to be the only numbers-matching 4-speed Hemi Cuda convertible in existence, it pulled a whopping $3.5 million at the Mecum auction in Seattle last weekend.t

Touched it with my own hands! Thanks again Eric for the opportunity!
He bought it in Seattle and sold it there.

Pictures of some of the rarest Mopars. The 4 door Coronet looks like something my Dad would drive, but I bet it was fast as hell!!!

Not the rarest but pretty rare. I owned this one for 15 years or so and restored it to about 90% before I sold it. 1 of 5 known and 1 of 10 produced. It’s a pb, ps and power window, tan bench interior with auto on the column. It was not numbers matching but date code correct. Last I heard it was with a broker in upstate NY. I met a guy buying some parts in Carlisle who was from Florida back in the late 90’s and he had 1 of the 3 1970 RR’s. It was B5. He was resto modding it with a KB Hemi or some such thing. Back in New York my friend Jim wrecked a 1970 Hemi GTX Convertible. It was a beautiful car and would probably be worth a lot of money. It was declared to be totaled because he wrapped it around a tree showing off to a bunch of girls. We were surprised he was still alive!

Yeah I know this guy from back home in Minnesota who has owned a lot of very nice 440+6 and Hemi E-bodies since the mid-late '80s, A LOT of nice MOPARs have gone through his hands and he currently owns a bunch but is always buying/selling. Anyway, right after the guy bought this blue '71 Hemi 'vert at auction, he had it directly sent to this guy in MN for storage and some minor work. This was a few years ago that @DGatzby and I were there. This guy has also has bought and sold a ton of Hellcats and Demons over the past few years. Just a super cool/fun car guy. I was there last year and he had '69 Charger Hemi 4-speed black on black. It was stunning. Top of my wish list...but would it even be satisfying to own some day because it's really too nice to drive? Rather have it than a $200k+ piece or art though I guess.

That white 4door has 2 twins. One is red the other a sort of brown looking color. 3, 4 doors were built but supposedly they never built them.
The brown one was for sale at a show (automotive flee market)in Ontario back in 1996. I couldn't come up with the $14k asking price at the time. I bought my
67 Satellite at the same show.
That year or the next the Red car sold at BG for $600k.
The brown car ran but was smoking and was a little rough. Not as rough as my Satellite. LOL
I saw it for sale after the red car sold. Asking price was 600k for a roller, yeah ok.
Sadly a couple of months after the show I could have bought the car and have regretted not trying harder at the time.

Edit; The red car actually sold in 2007 at BG for 660k.. So that is when I saw an ad for the gold car, possibly in Wisconsin. I am going by memory though.
Since I saw the car the build number apparently has gone up to 5cars.
The brown looking color was actually gold. It didn't look gold at the time. LOL
