Best I can tell, bugs (and birds) can't really deal well with things that move at over 100 mph.

There are far fewer bugs on my 3500 even though it sees much more bug rich environments, and many more miles. But it generally gets driven at only 80 mph.

Come to think of it, my girlfriend's Challenger gets nowhere near as many bugs on it...because she drives a bit slower than I do.

Well, yes. She keeps it under 100 for the very most part. And doesn't pass at nearly the speeds I do.
