It is shocking how hard the HC still pulls at 200!
No shit. Overdrive gear? Torque baby.
It pulls hard for me, a lot slower than that :LOL:we keep it in 6th and she goes about 170-ish. Plenty if not maybe too fast for the two tracks I can do it on. That’s a blast at BIR, because with a good lap that is about every two minutes.

Well, I differentiate between whatever speed is reached during certain circumstances and what a vehicle's actual top speed is.
Do what you want but see my previous post.

To throw other shit in Jimmy (finite road, headwinds), does not apply to any of the events we participate in. The boys here do not really give a shit how fast you can unsafely drive down a highway, or your opinion on the top speed of a hellcat.

If @2ndAmend can accelerate to 205 at 4400 lbs in a certain distance, he can accelerate QUICKER within that distance and achieve a HIGHER speed with 4350 lbs assuming all conditions remain the same…

I take advantage of less weight accelerating, turning and braking on a road course. Braking involves less energy to slow down LESS weight, turning is better, same friction, but LESS weight allows FASTER cornering.

You smart enough to understand acceleration and speed. Let’s get to it, we are talking about acceleration. The need for less weight applies to acceleration, period.

Ah, sorry, for some odd reason I thought the discussion was about top speed, not acceleration.

Close—- but top speed within a set distance. You are very correct to find top speed, I am not sure what road may be smooth and long enough along with potentially nothing that may sneak across the road when we try some of the speeds we can make these things quickly run, Jimmy. We know it is a big enough risk to run 1 to 1.5 miles down a supervised runway, or short of a mile but long enough on a long straight, but for me on the highways? Some brief jaunts just to check it out and have fun, but lately my balls are not too happy with much beyond what some of the old speedometers were showing us as max speeds.:sneaky:

I’ll get crazy within organized events. FYI the first day I took my ‘19 to the track? Some rumors of frogs spotted on the track. Did one get under my RR tire as it entirely lost traction braking for the ess-turn? Or did I not understand the REWB yet as it spun out? It was an expensive little ride in the grass that started at about 80 mph that morning.

Huh? To set speed records (or at least increase the top speed) by being lighter?

Guess I'm too stupid to understand how lower weight could improve the top speed. But at least I'm not alone.
Sure you are...aint nobody within a hundred miles of you...

Just did. Now I feel better. Plus the wife helped with that last night also.

My Lithium is getting energized again. Surprised after about a month it was drained to 25%. This year I disconnected the negative on the battery, screw getting into that aftermarket chassis controller to disconnect it to save it from bricking. The whole car can just rest all winter until I want to give its life back. I remember last year this little charger took a couple of days to get the battery up to full charge. Then I just disconnected it and did it about each month.

I must have been working too hard last year. Had to screw with my chargers and connectors this morning. I know they existed last season. :ROFLMAO:
I remember this spring and summer I was dicking with some connectors for the lawn equipment and just have messed up my connectors for these little chargers.

I certainly wouldn't say that the road I took it up to 160-ish is smooth, and the straight section isn't overly long either, but that's what starting from 60 mph or better is for.

There's definitely a chance that deer, elk, or cow could decide to cross the road, but that's just how roads are around here, including my driveway and the main thoroughfare.

What that road has going for it is that it's quite rare to see any wildlife on it for whatever reason, and there's very little traffic (as in may no see another vehicle in 30 minutes or more). Better yet, I haven't seen a (on duty) cop on it in 15 years.

So yes, it's still risky, which is why I rely on what Dodge claims to be my car's top speed instead of trying to reach it myself.

Good gas and a minor tune? Dodge is very conservative.😌 As they have always been.
Stock? Yep, it is good.

I remembered that 0.8amp may take weeks! Hooked up the old Diehard is what I did. This will take until tonight or tomorrow. Then I’ll unhook and see if the little one can just keep it nice in Lithium standby. I guess I could go buy one of those fancy new $100 units, but this worked last year.

I think the good air flow helps, I think you saw my posts that my calculations suggest the intakes are providing plenty of air at speed. I have to think other cars might be working to breathe.

Full disclosure, I removed the pass seat and rear seat for the dragway, and took it to LTA as is (except for wheel/tire change and adding the extinguisher).

In reality it's up to two year old gas and no tune.

The stock 'Cat is plenty good for my usage. There's a reason I declined getting a free Redeye...I really like my car as it is, and the way it looks.
