So, if your driving does not conform to code written by a H1B, perhaps someone who never drove a car in the U.S, the car will stop and leave you stranded. Perhaps in a snow storm, flood, FL hurricane evacuation, middle of CHI late at night? Lemmie guess, politicians get an exemption.

Glad I'm too old to really feel the brunt of these new gubmt controls, like many, I'll just buy used cars and keep them going.
It's good news for independent repair places, while they may not be equipped to handle fixing the EV crap, they will be inundated with work keeping older cars going. At some point they will even force older cars to be retrofit with this nonsense (at your expense), $64M question is how long will it take them to get there.

Buy before then. Pretty sure most late models already have the software installed just needs to be activated.

Yes buy used! I plan to maybe 2 more cars in this lifetime. A 68 or 69 Charger and maybe another 71 or 72 Duster.

A cop doesn't need this software to do it on current generation cars, just saying this capability has existed, just that 3g went away so there's no way to broadcast the signal to the cars anymore...
