So just my luck, found the perfect spec 2024 Z06, priced right, been on the market a while so was gonna make an offer....close by at 250 miles away. Call and they sold it this past weekend after it had sat on the lot for almost 3 mos...lol go figure.

I'm looking for Silver paint 2LZ coupe, red and black interior, red brakes, matte titanium wheels, no added aero if anyone sees one.

I figure 2024 gives a year for first year bugs to be worked out and no silver offered in 2025 so....

Blade Silver and Roswell Green are the 2 new colors for 2026 along with a new/revised interior layout. Wall of buttons is gone.

The 911..formidal track car..fast..handles...but that's where it ends for me...never cared for the styling..it's more than long in the tooth..even though iconic....not a fan of the exhaust note..and modified exhaust sound horrendous....interior is small...not cramped or tight...just small...and it just seems chincy to me...and dated as well...very pricey new...but retain their value better than most...I don't road race or track....so it doesn't check any of the boxes for me...but a truly iconic car..for somebody else

Listen up, if you open the hood of your car, and you can easily see the fluid level in your reservoir because it's dark instead of clear, without having to use a flashlight to hilite the fluid level, you're no longer my friend.

Which reminds me...

Yesterday the light for low washer fluid came on. That's a bit odd since the washers have never been used. Or the wipers.

Then again, I've had to add some to my '10 tractor, and may have used the washer function on it once.

Alpacas love washer fluid...they get a buzz from the alcohol....ya got elk...fox ..coyotee and alpaca runnin around out there...they found a waterin hole

I saw that yesterday and didn't realize 2026 order banks were so close to opening up (3-4 weeks I think). Now my broker buddy who's looking for the Z06 told me I should consider that and watch it come down the assembly line, museum delivery, etc since I'm only an hour from where they're made.

They offered me a very high spec 2025 yesterday for a crazy price but it's that light blue color which I don't like and had a $9K ceramic brake option that I didn't want. I'm gonna see what kinda price I'm looking at for a 2026 with the discounts he gives me and compare that to one of these 1,000 miles used ones. If it's close the 2026 makes sense.

Locally, I have 3 friends who own them[Z06's]. The new Vettes are absolutely everywhere around Detroit. Everybody thought it was gonna be a rarity to have these, and the market is flooded, similar to what HD did with their bikes. Cool cars, but definitely not rare around here. All the cars and coffee and lot shows, are full of them.

Never bought a car because I thought it would be rare...bought them cause I liked them...HC's are everywhere...makes no difference to me...

I've had a few quite rare ones, but that's not why I bought them. Like Man in Black, I got them because I liked them.

Currently I have a vehicle that they only made 13 of, and best I can tell it's the only one in the USA. All 13 were sent to Mexico at one point, but apparently mine is the only one to successfully sneak back across the border.

I actually don't like owning rare cars or bikes. Always has me worried about someone rear ending me or something and it being impossible to replace. I had a 2005 Repsol Edition Honda CBR1000RR. 1400 made limited edition, numbered, etc. I bought it because I liked the paint job but hated owning it because it was limited and said never again. The 170 is in the same boat but circumstances were a little different there.

Hoping someone with a Z06 with 1000 miles on it trades it in for a ZR1 or Eray and I can swoop in and grab it. I completely missed the perfect car a couple weeks ago somehow. Optioned perfect, 1500 miles and around $15K off sticker. Sat for 2 months and somehow sells the weekend before I called.

I've seen 2 Z06s here but never a 911 Turbo...ever. I've never seen another 170 or OG Demon for that matter other than at the drag strip. I don't live in what I consider a ritzy area though.
