That would be awesome! I've only met a handful of guys from the forum at all. I've actually met an equal number of shops/tuners at these events so far.

Stopped at Satera Tuning last year and caught up with MackBuilt at Drag week. Spent some time chatting with @ostmike at Buckeye Skips last week.

You'll be fine. At 4875lbs, a 2.65 and a safe kill tune for 75%+ E we routinely nail down 10.0's to 10.1's consistently which is perfect IMO.

There's plenty of guys in the mid/high 9's on that combo too so If that ends up being you...make sure you have 3.2/A5 jacket, pants, neck donut, etc. AND your NHRA license. A single layer jacket and regular pants & Drivers License are good to 10.0. With all factory safety items in place your car is good to 9 0 or 150mph so no chute or cage required but you gotta have the 3.2/A5 gear and at least a NHRA Street Legal License.

I would be happy with that. Did you say you change pullys and tune for the drives in between? No sense spinning the blower any more than you have to on the street.

I've been staying with one pulley (2.65) and staying on E85 the entire drive unless I absolutely need the extra couple PSI from the 2.50 - the only time I switch for the drive is if I'm headed to/going home and want to run pump gas. Then I'll toss a 2.85/2.95 on it and load the flex tune...but even then I've driven to and from both sick summer and drag week this year on the 2.65/E85 race tune. Lol

Unless they changed the rules a single layer jacket is good to 9.0 with the street license. I bought the double layer 3.2A/5 before knowing that

Got ya, it would be a lot less to mess with everyday at the track. Swapping wheels/tires, unloading the car and trailer and getting ready to run is plenty. Especially doing it 2xs a day. We usually end up staying til the end of the day to make a run. Get to the hotel late, get up early and start all over again the next day.

Must be WDRA that requires 3.2A/5 at 9.99 then. One of them does. It's the whole reason I have the setup. Either way. Better news for him!

EDIT: as long as you qualify under and compete as a Street Legal entry that gear is Indeed sufficient to 9.0/150mph. If you at any time are not considered or are bumped from street legal you're required A5 at 9.99/135 as per previous.

Buckeye Skips is doing Registration 2/10/26 I believe and is racing 6/30, 7/1 & 7/2 - they're also offering early registration to all veterans of the inaugural event...so Buckeye Skips is a lock for 2026!

That makes 2 events "booked" so far.

I placed 9th in DD class at Southeast Street-N-Yeet so I SHOULD be getting an early entry into 2026. They're talking about sliding the dates up a little bit SO we'll see.

Still waiting on Drag Week and Sick 66 registration details. Thinking we'll know more after PRI/New Years.

I don't know how the cards are going to fall quite yet but I would like to make another run at Street Machine Eliminator at drag week and then I'm kind of obligated to defend my class title at Buckeye skips. If that means inadvertently making another run at the Drag & Drive World Championship 10.0 points then so be it.

If I had to narrow it down to only two regular events it would probably be sick summer and Southeast Street-N-Yeet. SnY has a completely different atmosphere. Plus who doesn't like tacos and margaritas?

Apparently they're announcing details for sick 66 at PRI so that's cool. Hopefully we get a slot on that. Literal once in a lifetime deal.

It's been a minute and HOLY BALLS do we have some updates.

We made it into Back To The Streets 2026 - a No Prep Drag & Drive in Indiana that visits 4 tracks including the notorious Brown County - home of War in the Woods. Look up those videos for some wild stuff!

Then we dropped our name in for the drawing for free entry Into The Circuit 2026 - A Charity with Horsepower...and the Mahle sponsored entry drew MY NAME! So we'll also be in Tulsa for The Circuit and by virtue of that securing veteran status for future events!

Southeast Street-N-Yeet just dropped dates for 2026 and they moved it up into October this year. They allow racers to resell tickets and we also should have some sort of veteran status by virtue of being in the top 10. Also the top 3 get free entry! I didn't make the free list but I'm DEFINITELY doing this one again.

That makes 5 events so far. Just waiting on Hot Rod Drag Week which is a free-for-all with no veteran status. If we secure entry that will be SIX EVENTS scheduled for 2026. 3 national level and 3 regional. Every month from April thru October with the exception of July/August and I'm on the hunt for something to fill that slot too. Might even slot into a MSHS event inbetween some of these.

F for my wallet...but I intend to come out swinging at Buckeye Skips and (hopefully) HRDW to defend my class win (Buckeye Skips) and take a stab at SME again!

So...been a long time. I am a horrible person. But guess what? MORE UPDATES!

WE MADE IT INTO DRAG WEEK 2026! That makes 6 events locked in. 3 national and 3 regional. We have under 60 days til The Circuit in Tulsa. So of course it's a perfect time...

...to partially tear my right distal bicep tendon! Injured at work 2/18, occ med 2/19, ortho 2/23, surgery 2/26 and my follow-up is in 2 days. Worst part? Not being able to wipe my ass with the proper hand. Srsly.

In between all that the Durango headed into the dealer at 4700 miles for water in the rear ELSD plug. Known issue apparently. 0 dollars and 45min later. "How'd you know it was water" - well I didn't but Alfa pulled the codes for me and 15min on Google later there's 3 causes and there's a current service bulletin for it so...lol

Oh...and Mike Narx & crew over at Drag Drive Repeat in conjunction with Rodney Reeves are doing a series on the "backbone of Drag and Drive" featuring 10.0 and slower cars that make up the vast majority of entrants. Guess who got featured in Part 2? Your boy. Little extra fluff in parts but to be picked out a a pool of literal thousands? Hella Cool!

It's just a disaster. Front half is 40 gallons of E85 & the tool tote. Back half is everything else. I really needed to be working on shelves & stuff but you know. Had to pop a tendon instead. So probably gonna rock it as a disaster at least thru Buckeye Skips. May debut some new stuff for Drag Week.
