The Chinese have been sending us complete shit for years, and now they want us to trust them with a car? They've lost their freakin' minds...

And talk about the wrong people to have as Big Brother in your car... It's bad enough we have to deal with the U.S. Government in our cars now, there's zero chance in hell I'll buy a Chinese car.

I stopped watching in less than 1min so please excuse my ignorance of the point of the vid.

I was at the dragway last week and a local with a Plaid that does 9.1's in the 1/4 and 203.5 in less than 1mi was trying to convince me to get one. Right now, they are a tremendous performance bargain! You can buy a used Plaid with 30-40kmi for about $55-60k and do low 9's. For a $20k brake job they will raise the speed limiter to 200+.

I have been tempted, but they seem so GD boring to drive! People laugh at the dragway when they watch these silent machines scoot down the track, just like the Japanese entry in Cannonball Rally.

Besides I don't have any available garage space. But they are very fast.

The Europeans are buying them like crazy. They are more protectionist against the U.S. than China.

It just does not bother me that a deluxe golf cart is quicker than my hybrid Dodge Redeye.

I’ll let everyone know how it generally “stacks up” and compares for a 2-3 day drive on gas, as I join dozens of others with great cars next month on the Kannonball Rally out of MN to Detroit. There is a rally comp group and our “chill it” group. But I just imagine in the middle of nowhere more than once someone will want to compare notes. I’ll bet right now, none IF ANY run too far away from the old Redeye. On the other hand, I’ll bet more than one says, WTF have you done to that Dodge to make it do that? I’m not talking about 1/4 mile unlimited class including electric junk drag racing either. Take any Hellcat especially one equipped and built like mine and nail it at any speed over about 60 and smile. This is not BS I have seen the best competition on road courses. At real high stupid speeds? We rule. Our friends who run 1/2’s and miles etc? They win or very close!
