Superformance seemed to have the nicest kit when I was looking at these 20 years ago. I've seen a bunch of them over the years, and I stick by that opinion.

My buddy ordered one a couple months ago from Superformance. Gonna have some crazy NASCAR engine in it or something. I'll get a first hand look.

OK, folks don't get too hung up on this new mouse trap it is not all that it seems it has a super locked PCM and if you go to tune it literally phones home, by that it has built-in Wi-Fi that contacts Ford. You just can't make this up.

Exactly what the hell are you guys going to buy?

It’s pretty sweet that Ford is adding power and features to their flagship when you compare it to some sticker packages being offered on slower and more expensive Dodges.(392s) When I watched the Ford Mustang reveal I don’t recall them first hyping up a CUV for my teenage daughter… bzzzzz
Ford offers the Ford Lightning alongside gasser F150s - and some pretty nice ones at that. Dodge decides they’re going all in with EV for performance cars, and leaves you with 0 viable alternatives. Which company will get my money? Vote with your dollars people, Dodge isn’t loyal to you…
Pretty hard to argue that assessment..

I am more of a backdraft fan...till they went from 65g's...to 115g's with hardly any new technology..:(

I don't get the need for having some off the wall HP engine in these things.
Don't they weight like 1900lbs???
I rode in one many years ago with a 450hp Viper V10 and that shit was squirrely as hell on the road

Total hooligan toy...ya cant launch it...no traction control..or electronic safe guards...not the most stable car well into triple digits...but loud as hell.. (in a good way)..your grandma can do burnouts...awesome attention getter...(if that's yer thing) I would own one...

Mine will have a developed and thought out power to weight ratio based on some research I'll do. My buddy just like big and loud. He had some kinda crazy yellow and purple speed boat that was powered by two Chevy 454 with Whipples on top.

The Superformance ones I looked at years ago didn't come with an engine as standard, but they had several engine options (no idea what they have now) from a std. HO 5.0 EFI to various carb'd 5.8L, and the most expensive option was a 427 Ford. I figured a worked 5.8 was good enough.

Factory five has done some nice cars that have competed well on the race circuit. I have kicked around the idea off and on.

Whats your taste, 289 small lightweight high rev for the purist,
Big Block 427 side oiler, or something modern out of the FOMCO
Motorsport catalog delivered in a crate? Really can’t go wrong with any of them. Basic street I would take the Oiler, carving canyon roads or track completion small block stroked, aluminum heads, intake, pump etc, keep weight off nose.

Still the best go fast formula 75 years later. Power to weight ratio. The dudes that came back from the the war still had the urge for action at home, Git yourself a flat head ford and tear out everything but for absolute necessity. Now the power between them frame rails requires that frame to be more stout.

5.8 even lightly moded will move that car nicely. I do think it’s important to select a company that has proven frame structures, not just for handling and competition, but safety as well.

If you enjoy the exhaust note, a GEN3 Coyote would be hard to beat in one of these. OPGs and a tune and you can rev them over 8k and make all the NA horsepower you need.
A DART or WORLD 347 would be cheaper and much more traditional, and probably get you where you need to be with room to grow.
A Windsor based 408 would give you some grunt down low…
Just don’t put a t5 in it, please.
If I recall, the 427 Cobra held the record for 0-100-0 until the Mclaren F1 took it - it can shit and git - you just have to do it right.
