Most I've ever seen had vinyl roofs....this one looks so much better without one..color is "right"...and I've always loved those wheels...fabulous car

Superbirds came std with the vinyl roof (to hide the 'chop work' they did to the base RoadRunner roof line). The vinyl was cheaper than smoothing/leading it in so that it would look good painted. Race versions were painted for obvious reasons & some ppl have painted them during resto's.

Daytona's all had painted roofs.

Yeah, I still remember riding my bike up to the local Plymouth dealer on Woodward & 9 mile and mooning over the ones they had on the lot.
Most were there for a long time, dealers were begging ppl to buy them - now prices are insane & unless you are Jay Leno forget about getting a Hemi one !
