True Linda, agree. I have NOT appreciated or enjoyed Kristi’s vision since we lost Jed. Hope her or someone close to her reads our Forum. They DO have the Lucas Nationals listed for Aug 20-23 despite the new membership news.

1. From one of their best customers for decades perspective? It has caused the road course school to basically be 180 degrees different. Started when their long time mgr. quit. In the last 3-4 years I may have been able to run the “big” track just a few times instead of several times per year. The corvette club who used it twice per year? Now? ZERO now sweety, you lost them! Dates not available or the cost was stupid. You made it so the insurance companies are in charge. Stupid. Road America is farther, but is light years better and worth every mile I need to drive to WI. Plus they spend $$$ on their track. Her? Spent shit since Jed passed. Some of the track portions on the Donnybrooke configuration are nearly unacceptable. Turn 8-10 sweetheart. You allow donut comps and shit in that big space and the surface condition is good for fuckin trucks! Maybe.

2. Annual NHRA Championship event? She allowed these really stupid, ignorant and highly unnecessary high intensity light plants to be used inside the track illuminating the stupid worthless blow up shit where they tape the drivers. They stay illuminated along with running their stupid generators…ALL NIGHT. They are pointed at the campsites, that their MOST loyal (35 yr + at the event every year), OLDEST, and could be her BEST marketing team, is camped at, AND HAS TOTALLY PISSED US OFF. Where did Mr. Lucas visit with the wife and sis-in-law EVERY YEAR? Our campsite at the top of the track. He knew exactly where the best fans were. Hell, we were the best security service she had all night at the top of the track. Why??? We did love to sit at the fence and look NW at the beautiful night sky. IF a rabbit moved inside that track we became aware of it. AND why the hell would us campers/fans even think about any mischief?? Dumb Kristi! AND WE EVEN TOLD the SECURITY AND MANAGEMENT STAFF THOSE LIGHT PLANTS SUCK!! Check your ticket sales honey! Some of us have decided it is not worth it for $400 a weekend.

IHRA was acquired in 2024.
Since then, they have been buying up tracks to run their operation.

Its a huge gamble but it got the NHRA to take notice. And there is nothing wrong when that happens.

Nothing wrong with competition except IHRA will only be 1/8th mile. In my nearly 40 years running at the track I have only done 1/4 mile, 1/8th mile is only half the fun
