Pulled the trigger on a C8 Z06

I've only interacted with a few Vette folks so far. One group was mostly African American but super cool and friendly and invited me to join them on cruises and what not, the other was mostly older folks that I'm surprised can even get in and outta the cars and have WAY too many trinkets and other odd modifications lol. Like a huge neon plexiglass panel over the frunk that says "Corvette" on it, like no duh haha.

Joking aside, for some reason young women chase me around when I'm driving the Z06, no joke. I'm very happily married so meh, but that never happens when driving the 170, more guys wave and give thumbs up for it. Thought that was interesting.

For the sake of those that never heard the story....my friend and I went to a car show...I drove my 18 Demon...he drove my wifes C8...(first C8 in WNY)....he didn't park with the corvette crew...as I walked the show I was admiring the corvettes..(they all park together and sit on their lawn chairs with their wives)..I saw a C7 with a color I had never seen before and had a unique set of headlights...I approached the group and asked whose car it was...the owner (mid 60's I' d say)...with his white pants..Italian loafers..no socks...light blue golf shirt..and a sweater tied around his neck...expensive watch..wouldn't give me the time of day...almost rude...finally just turned his back on me...well about an hour later he got wind that a C8 was there...and I see him talking to my friend that drove the car....I was maybe 50 ft away talkin to the Mopar crew..when my buddy waves me over...now this POS that wouldn't give me the time of day..wants to be my buddy....why???...he's contemplating buying one..and wants to sit in my car...and see how he fits...(are you fuckin kidding me)....now I see what I assumed was his wife strolling over to check out the car...so I asked if that was his wife...he said yes...I told him...tell ya what..let me try out yer wife..see how I fit..while you see how you fit in my car....sound like a deal????....my buddies close by spit out their beer..started laughin...and thought sure we were gonna be in a brawl with the Corvette geezers...The arrogant SOB..just looked at me grabbed his wife..and slithered back to his crew....I hate arrogant fucks that judge people...prior to him knowing I owned the car...he wouldn't give me the time of day...

You meet plenty of people at car shows that are jerks. Go to the track and it's completely different.
