With all these bozos now creating a new key fob in broad daylight, not caring if cameras are around, I went ahead and had the Ravelco anti theft installed. I park mine in the garage but if I take it out to eat or shopping, I’ll have peace of mind knowing only a flat bed tow truck can snatch it.

And no, faraday bags don’t do squat anymore.

My car looses critical items when I park it outside alone and not in my camera/alarm protected garage. I had it on the road for two nights this weekend. Same here, it will take more than a magic fob to get it.

Yeah, it’s a kill switch but with a coded plug. Look up Ravelco.

Once you pull out the plug in the end of the wire, it breaks the electrical connection.
An employee of mine has it on her car.

I'm conflicted on stuff like this. I am all for thwarting the theives, do not get me wrong, but a part of me also says, if they're going to try to steal and F it up in the process, I'd almost prefer that they take the whole car and I can get a new one with the insurance proceeds than have them screw it all up and I get just enough to have it repaired.

For some of us insurance will never refund the money we have into mods.
Also if the car is found and someone was joy riding in my car isn't ideal. At the end of the day it is a pretty crappy situation.

Yep, then it’s gone. Then a tracking device embedded would be entertaining. That is their risk. But, if they take it, then another will come.

My brother lives in Atlanta, his problem and is. A neighborhood they lived in for years in town. He had to park his Honda Accord outside on the street. In order for himself not to purchase side winders every week. He wood leave the door unlocked so for the thugs to look and see. Nothing but PHD papers and not much.

Knew folks in NYC that did the same and finally left a blanket in the car for a homeless guy who would sleep there, he basically guarded the car for them. While I understand, that whole situation is jacked up.

The big cities where you make the big $$$$ and wonder why. I think they left their 1 car garage open with a sum piece of shit 3rd world country car in there. For a cat and homeless guy to stay in. It was a red Mazda,, crap. Now he has his 4 car garage, gated community, in town, walking distance to the Brave's Stadium. Great but when I visit I have to park outside under the over head pourch. Nasty. He keeps his 1964 MG GT in the garage that I am sure every seal and gasket have rotted by now. Electric fuel pump, noisy and very unpredictable. Crap.

Yep; I thought about that a lot with the SC GTO (the most heavily modified car I've ever owned). but was willing to assume that risk myself. As I am sure you are too.
