I m not a big fan of I 6
But
They are testing some numbers well over 600 hp
They will push it beyond that

Better then EV for sure
could choose neither. Will be plenty of used hemi cars for less money then what will be selling new

the H/O version with 510hp is already pushing 26 psi, how high can you safely take a motor like that and maintain durability and longevity?

It’s not 26 psi all at once like a supercharger. It’s ramped in as the turbo spools.

Its not but 40 is another story. The factory turbo probably wouldn't make 40 or be efficient to

What I’m saying is, 26 is a fart in the wind with turbos. I’m sure the engineered the engine to withstand it.

straight design allows for more stroke, more torque over a V style. reason all big truck motors are i6

For HD truck have owned both F250 and Ram 2500 diesels and IMO the I6 is a clear winner for these reasons.

2jz guys have been doing it for years. I think we'll be in good hands.

These I 6 s can withstand a lot of ass kicking
2jz has withstood the test of time, can't wait to see what this one can do.

100% agree

I'm actually excited about this motor if they fucking actually do it right. if this is our generations 2jz I'll be there on day 1 with a deposit or using my hellcat as a trade. On day of delivery it will be torn down and put under a microscope to see what we can do with it.

there are supras out there today, with just a 2jz and a turbo and will whoop most hellcats asses, guess i'm showing my bias, one of my dream cars was a big turbo 2jz

My first cars were Supras and there's quite a few built MK4s running around here so I know them well. I certainly know what's possible, will just be interesting to see how it goes from a reliability perspective. Hellcats do that pretty well IMO, even when built. As far as comparing who is faster, apples and oranges can both go fast. The high-powered ones around here are a bit finicky. A built Hellcat is a better and more reliable race car IMO, maybe because all those Mk4s are manual and seem a bit wonky with all that power. Hard to make a good pass with them.
