I searched. Couldn’t find anything. Do any of you guys have those garage floor tiles? I was thinking about doing that to my small 2 car garage. It has a cement floor. Can I still use Race Ramps on the tiles for oil changes? I think some tiles are made out of that foam material like those ramps. Not sure. Plastic and other materials. Also, I would like a cool design. And There’s a lot on Amazon.
Here’s a link about those tiles.

Tiles might look good but are expensive and generally not very good for working on your car. I would recommend staining it. A06D1BBE-7A41-42F6-9719-747A865CAED0.jpeg

Looks awesome. And yea I had a feeling using Race Ramps might not work on top of tiles. But they do come apart. Like a puzzle lol. And there’s different materials they’re made out of.

I've seen a bunch of floors finished that are chipped and some are peeling up.
I'm thinking just some basic sealer possibly with some pigment.

Thanks! Had the garage, driveway and walkway done at the same time. It’s a penetrating concrete stain. Our friends had their driveway done over 10 years ago and it still looks like new. FDA89252-88D7-450D-AA67-9BC6F662C9BA.jpeg

Sorry, but I think "The Drive" have completely missed the mark here.

They seem to be implying that these exercise mat squares are suitable for a mechanics garage space???

I've got that stuff in my basement under exercise equipment and even with that light load they have permanently deformed under the benches.

I can't imagine jacking up a car with a floor jack and then putting a jackstand on that stuff. It would crush and be destroyed. Even with a lift like my Quickjack which has a relatively spread out load on a larger surface area those squares aren't going to hold up...

And while they might be "water proof", what happens when you come in from the weather with a wet car and the water gets underneath them and then sits and mildews between them and the floor?

=========================

Either stain or epoxy, and if you do the epoxy make certain you do the grinding process first or the epoxy will just come right back up.

I had it quoted and everybody around here is at ~$6.50/ft for a premium level process/install/

@Paladin06 - What did yours cost per/ft?

Do you know what it's called?

I'm a poor white boy from the ghetto. We're used to working on plain concrete covered in grease and oil.

No. The cans didn’t have any labels on them. He custom color mixed it himself to order but I know it was not water based and it’s not epoxy. No signs of peeling after three years here. Seems like a lot of people around here who do it. I’m sure you can find someone doing it in your area. I think anything water based or epoxy on your driveway will be prone to lifting.

Only the garage for me. The driveway is a rough broom finish.

With a recliner setup in front of a T.V. and a workspace that clean. I'd say there isn't much actual work done in that garage. I can't imagine trying to get a creeper to roll across those grout lines. He probably makes people take their shoes off before entering HA ! ! It is a great looking man cave though:cool:

Yeah, jackstands can be used, I just put a half inch piece of plywood down. Admittedly this is usually filled with jeeps and such, but is a non working garage for much more than oil changes. And yes, I spend the majority of my waking...and sleeping hours out here. Always wanted a dedicated man space and $$$ later I have it.

It's a showplace, that's for sure.
