High temps, not was I was looking for but planned on getting the 1st runs in with the 2.75 pulley installed. We needed it for datalogging being the first pass with a safe tune. Figured 10.0s maybe get into the 9 being the DA was already over 2000. 1st run tires at 22 and had some bad wheel hop so lifted and just drove down the track. I went right back up and switched lanes. Tires were probably 24 psi since I didn't check them. There was a red Hellcat with a cage that was lined up with me. Car hooked to a 1.44 and pulled pretty good. The red Hellcat was way back there and figured he had wheel hop too and got out of it. I had to look at the time slip twice, 9.86@140! Jon said timing was only 18 and may have hit 19. He made a slight adjustment to the tune and went back up. Wheel hop again so went back around switched lanes same result. Normally hooks fine at 22 psi but I have more power now. Dropped the tires to 19, it spun and I got out of it and back in and went 10.41@138. I drove back into the lanes and lowered the pressure to 18 psi and it hooked. Not sure if it was to the floor fast or slowly being I just wanted it to hook. Had a 1.48 60 and went 9.97@138.97

Decided the DA was just going to get worse so we were done. Jon is going to take some timing out for tomorrow so it will leave. We talked to the guy in the red Hellcat and Jon told him he had a driveshaft so he bought it and they paid us to install it. It blew out the front of the shaft, one of the ball bearings even fell out when Jon pulled it off. He has a 2.95 upper and a lower on it. He made an easy pass after we got it back together and went 10.1. A little later he made another and went 9.75@142. He said he has went way faster so I will have to ask tomorrow what he best is. DA had to be around 2500 at this point but at least the humidity was in 20's. They were from the Detroit area I believe

The car that broke also has a ported blower.
they had me drive it for a test drive and I can tell us the throttle was super super sensitive. I think they have the throttle set way too hot. They talked about having bad traction issues even with the 315s and the tuner pulled power from the bottom end to try and help.
The 1.48 60ft we played with throttle ramp in but didn’t pull any power.
yes he had a max timing of 18.5 degrees on the first 9 second pass. I added a degree to degree and a half more in spots. I told @vortecd we could still add a fair amount to the car. But it is running the times we wanted to see so we aren’t going to turn it up for the event tomorrow. We get it hooking good and call it a day.

The numbers on my time slip at the top are weight 4650 Temp 78 humidity 33 and DA 2050. The barometer was 30.15. I have a kestrel and after my runs I use it to get the info and write it down. It will get transferred into a log book so I can compare runs with the info.

I do know with the DA we had the car will go 60s and maybe 50s in good DA.

Runs very similar to mine as I'd expect since setup is pretty close. Wheel hop means you're right on the edge of traction.

Lockouts here I come I reckon. My ET Rs are right at the bars and about the same age as well. I managed a 9.88 with a 1.67 60' last time out....which is weird.

9.60s and maybe 9.50s in good air and prep for sure.

Speedy are you running 2.62 or 3.09’s?

Probably less chance of wheel hop with the 2.62’s?

No idea. I just don't randomly change parts until I have data showing they need changing. I've not seen anything to suggest 3.09s would help mine so I've stuck with 2.62.

I did a 1.38 60ft with the 2.62 gear. I think there are better mods to do before the 3.09 if they are even worth anything once you start adding power.

Even hotter today. Jon was working to just get it down the track by removing timing. I ran a 9.94@139 1st pass when DA was 2200. Played with timing some and then tried the 1-2 to the floor. Worked good 1st time I did it and ran a 9.98 in 2750 DA 1.48 60 ft.

I had my my best 2 out of 3 with the Hellcat Jon and I put the driveshaft in. He was one of the 1st down the track and ran a 9.65 so it runs. It does have a 2.95 upper and a lower, jokerz full ported blower, springs, arms suncoast convertor, 315 beadlocks, 3.09's. They had just put a cage in it and it weighed close to 4800 so it wasn't light

In our 2 out of 3 he was running 9.8 and I was at 10.2. One pass it spun some the other my 1-2 was more like 1-2-3 with only a 1.70 60 ft

Still a fun day just warm with temps close to 90 and humidity was in the mid 30's. If I can get it to hook it will go 9s in some bad DA

Some pics of the driveshaft from yesterday and his car

A kings ransom for this one. Yes I would pay it.
It looked like a really nice car. I can't say I ever watched him run though. Saw it in the lanes but don't know the time he ran
