I wire wheeled the beads on my rims . Then knurled the beads with a small chisel a bit . I had the mounted the tires dry . Then applied hi tack spray . I also let the tires sit for a couple of weeks aired up to 35 psi . They have not moved yet and I have probably 100 passes and a few 1.4 sixty foots .

Clean up the bead area on the rim, use some hairspray (or Hi Tack), mount the tires and mark the tire at the air valve. Have not tried the knurling approach but it should help. We run 17" Street R's and the car will high 1.2x low 1.3x 60' and the tires don't move.
