Demon 170 Gas Guzzler tax just jumped from $2100 to $3700

I don't believe believe the rates have changed in some time. This is the most recent chart the EPA has. Not sure what voodoo math Dodge has been using up until now. Seems like we've getting a break or Dodge has been paying the difference before for some time?

Well the chart seems pretty straight forward (and no increases since 91...),,,so if this went into effect July 1st....how do we access the new tax chart...

There is always the chance the dealership got it wrong, too.

I havent.looked at it since the 90s, but if it was NOT a preplanned increase to adjust.for inflation, then i suspect the car was retested and its reviswd average mpg was revised, moving it into a lower bracket and a higher tax bill.

At this point..all are possibilities...plenty of time for clarification till delivery time...not gonna speculate..or get overly concerned @ this point...

I'd bet it was an intern or low dollar worker that uploaded the data wrong into the system.
Someone higher up caught the error and fixed it.
