Can I race my car without a roll bar? I asked my local NHRA track owner if I can race my car at his Track and he wasn't sure but that he would look into it. I won't put a rollbar in it, but I do want to run it some. Thank you in advance.

Yes. Car should run a 10.50. No rollcage until you hit 8s.

You need drag radials. Otherwise you won't go anywhere.

Wow. That’s amazing that a track owner that’s NHRA affiliated can’t answer that question. Yes. The new cars can run all the way down to 9.0 seconds with certain requirements. Get yourself a NHRA rulebook and become familiar with the rules.

Copy, I have Drag Radials on my Scat Pack, but they are on 20's and they don't have enough sidewall to flex or wrinkle. What size would you recommend?

17’s won’t require anything beyond the wheels and tires. That is the best choice for the occasional track use.

He is a 1/8th mile track owner, and he hasn't seen the new book yet. I have raced since 1970 at NHRA tracks starting in C/SA and then switching to Bracket racing. I haven't looked at a rule book for over 20 years, but I guess that it's time. My Membership # is 125495, which should be a fairly low number?

He might need shortened sway bar links for 17" wheels. Probably 18s with 305 45r 18 Street Rs is the simplest combo. It's what I ran for 3 years.

I was wondering if they would clear the calipers. Thank you.

Sounds good. 93 Octane enough or do I need to add some 110?

They like octane. Try 100 unleaded race gas.

Will 100 Octane Av gas work? I run it in my 66 Coronet. I have a small airport just a few miles from work.

I know nothing about it. I run VP or Sunoco race gas.

Depending on the wheel backspacing you may have to use short swaybar links. That is no big deal, they are cheap and easy to install. I would not give up the added big tire choice (315/50-17) to save the cost of short links. You need as much tire as you can get on these things. 00DD55EA-F09D-4FE8-84EF-2053E99033CB.jpeg

Thank you. Bad looking machine and I see that you have the 150-mph required chute.

Marc has much more experience than I do. I just switched to the 315 50R 17s this week after running the 18s for 3 years.

I'll take a guess Wabash Valley dragway? Sure it is better then Brown County
