Have only used it on Rams, so far, but really like it.

What is there that's desirable to change on 'Cats?

Auto window down with the fob.

Hmm. That's not something I would consider, or want. Especially since I rarely use the fob for anything. Other than to let me start the car, obviously.

Anything more practical that could be appealing?

I’m talking about dropping the windows before you get in the car. It’s great for letting the heat out on those hot/humid days.

Used it on my Ram and Wrangler. Have changed tire sizes for speedo calibrations and changed tpms values. Enabled DRL's just to name a few. I see you can even program new keys. Once my Super Stock shows up, I'll be raising the speed limiter with different tires.

I got it primarily so I can cycle the ABS when I go to flush my brake fluid.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Thankfully we don't have hot or humid here, which is why I'd have no use for a function like that.

That'd be great if it works, but I don't think it's possible. Not without having the computer unlocked first, anyway.
If AlfaOBD would let me, the 118 mph limit in the TRX would be long gone.

Not that I've tried, but others claim it isn't that simple.

The speed limiter is not in the ECU. It resides in the BCM (body control module). As long as you have a bypass cable/module that allows you to make changes, you should be good to go. I only say should because I have not personally done this. Once the car comes in, it will be one of my first mods.

I hope you're right, Gearhead.
The TRX crowd has tried (and failed) based on what I've seen, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.

im using the OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner and a samsung note 9. it seems finicky connecting on bluetooth. its a 2020 so i had to put the bypass in the trunk. tried to connect last night and wouldn't see the bluetooth. works great when i open the trunk. think i need an extension to one the adapter closer to the drivers seat

I have an OBDLink MX+ and the AlfaOBD software.
Both the OBDLink and AlffaOBD software paired just fine on my SUV, but so far, the OBDLink software hasn't paired on my challenger--only the AlfaOBD software has--which is fine since it has all the features I wanted, but not sure why the OBDLink app won't pair with it on my challenger also.

When I first got my MX+, it was :poop:shit:poop: for pairing with the Challenger. (several years ago) Since then there have been numerous firmware updates for the MX+ and now it pairs just fine. Make certain you're on an updated firmware.

Mine had issues till I paired it in the trunk right next to the Bluetooth adapter. 🤷‍♂️

I wish it were something that simple--mine's a 17, so no need for bypass and the adapter to be in the trunk--it's right in the OBD dash port by my knee and still failing to pair.
