I purchased the G Force because they carry a lifetime warranty. If you read the fine print to excludes the CV joint but I do not think it is enforced. I broke one when I destroyed the stock 2.62 case, not a problem returning the axle, I paid for shipping to them and they sent the replacement axle to me on their dime. DSS have either a 6 month or 1 year warranty.

Another option is the Demon/Redeye axles, any wide body Challenger has the good axles. They are strong, I ran a set for 3 passes, no problem. I like them because there are no external CV bolts to re-tighten. If you can score a set for a good deal, I would start with them.

Great idea, I’ll see if I can find a set and see how they work out.

Hey HellcatMatt
How much PSI were you running at the time your stock blower gave out?
Just curious.... I’m on a stock blower with the 426 for now.
Nice build Matt👍

Thanks Matt.
I’m right around14-15 PSI with stock blower & 426.
We’re gonna re-dyno in the winter to see if we can hit 980-990rwhp. We hit 953rwhp in 110 degrees 🤭

I’m sure you’ll get there! Just be careful with RPM on the stock blowers. Seeming to be a killer on these things. I’ve had a few people reach out to me with the same issue and they were spinning them up to 6800 and even 7000 when they let go.

I wasn’t logging when mine when it went but I try to shift at 6200, though I have a tendency of no lift shifting, I’m thinking that was the case and probably revved up enough to over spin it

This is my build sheet. Shift point is at 6400 rpm I believe. Tim Barth is the tuner.

My engine builder Alex at BBP was surprised to see those numbers in that heat index on a stock blower.
I’m tempted to order a KB SC right now... lol

Hey Matt
How much PSI are you at with the KB 4.2 SC?
By the way you have a badass build brother.

Thanks! We’re gonna start with a 5” (17psi) pulley and work our way up in boost. I want to experiment a little and see where things end up. Not shooting for the moon on this setup as I’ve mentioned but somewhere in the upper 900s to 1000ish would be nice.

I was lucky enough to snag a Big Gas alum. Hellephant block for my N/A build. Apparently my builder can no longer get them as they are reserving them for dedicated Hellephant builds and race teams. Except for each end, all 4 bolt mains. Feeling very fortunate to have one. Eager to see how yours turn out. Should be a blast!

@HellcatMatt your KB Build is awesome. From experience of having a KB build prior to my Hellcat the rear will probably be more of a concern at this point and then the trans. You are building everything strong!
The KB throws down a lot of Torque to the ground. I know your tuner can handle that. Eventually you may want to install a 9 inch rear. In the past the manual guys would install the smallest KB's and would have a lot of fun racing them.
I think you will hit the goals you want![twothumb]

Looking forward to you out racing your Hellcat![loveboost]
