I assume James is talking about the ID brushless kit that they use in the R8's. Radium makes the hats for them. they make one for the mustangs too. the ID brushless is good to 2000HP per their description.
@Marc W you run these? they look to be rated for more than the 2150's and look to be stainless for use with Ethanol? id be inclined to switch personally.
yeah I was never a fan of the KB baps. These JMS baps are awesome units. fully plug and play and use peddle position instead of a hobbs switch. ID makes a brushless kit to handle 2khp on Ethanol, just no one makes the hat for the hellcats yet. radium makes it for the mustangs.
I maxed out their triple pumps on a set of 1700's and a 3.0 Whipple. No chance they can supply the needed fuel to a 3.8 with 2150's without baps. A single brushless would be ideal but they are failure prone.
Q16 will be very tough on spark plugs and o2 sensors. so expect some additional maintenance there as well. believe me I often consider my options going back to it. Pros and cons to both
Like @GNBRETT said the 3.8 matched to a 426 with Thitek heads will require a ton of fuel to make the power you want to run fast at the track. Now knowing how HHP operates, if your going on race fuel instead of Ethanol, what you are asking for is easily obtainable with way less fuel system...
see this is how I know someone has hacked Daves account!! man a year ago he was riding around with a riding unicorn in his truck taking shots at Sumit! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::LOL::LOL:
But in all seriousness. I've had my IC chiller on for over a year and have never touched it! works...
This!! The win is more important to me as well. I will never shoot for any record. I'm not sponsored, no free parts, no shop working on my car. I cant afford to be fast.
Best and easiest way is to just pop the throttle body off and look at the rotors. If they have touched, open a case with Whipple they will take care of you.
Z bumped through the lights in the finals against Casey Hoong. Casey ran a 8.12 @170 for the 3rd pass in a row!! That 3.8 Whipple blower only car is working at 4000 lbs. super awesome seeing an all Mopar finals.
Z's 7.4 @184 is the new record!
