Think I could pass as you at the next amber review? Would hate for your vendors to get off with a cheap bill 🤣

Well crap. Weather's been crap and I've not driven GoManGo in about 6 weeks. Went out to the garage to check it and the Arc Angel battery seems to have lost enough charge that it won't power the car. DMM says 11.38V. I don't think you can jump a L-ION battery.

What do I need, a trickle charger for L-ION to get it back up to snuff?

Something like this?? https://amzn.to/3JlRXL5

Fooling with the RC cars I learned you have to be careful with the LiON stuff. If they catch fire things get interesting real quick. I was spooked to try to jump start as I'd read reports of that frying the LiON batts.

I ended up getting the NOCO 5 charger. Amazingly it said if I ordered today I'd get it today and sure enough I did. It's charging the battery now although I think it's gonna take about 5 hours to get it full. Pretty happy with the little unit. Super compact and nice connectors, but I do wish it had the readout on it for voltage, temp, etc. 13,000 amazon reviews said it was great though.

Got this one: https://amzn.to/3WFIuBu

I have the old (going on 4years) Arc Angel. I found that while it was spinning the motor on startup, it wouldn’t fire. That turned out to be the EFI coil packs. They require a minimum of 11 volts or they won’t fire. If the battery didn’t have a full fresh charge, then turning it over was dragging the battery down below that threshold. Those coils are outta here so that issue won’t be a problem any longer. I have a self contained jump starter that is for use at the track. Hooked that up and it fired immediately. So no issues with jumping (so far 🫣). I also have one of the NHRA battery disconnects that help when the car sits. BEE8DC85-023E-4D21-B312-165071EC6AF3.jpeg

I looked it up and it also says I would get it today. There is a warehouse just down the street from where I work

You can jump a lithium battery with a jump box or cables via another car no problem. Have done that several times at the track without issue.

Guy on the RC forum nearly burned his house down from a lithium battery fire. As a result I store my RC batteries in a special burn proof box now.

I'm not sure I'd wanna jump start one.

Daryell from DCR was talking to me about fire and lithium batteries. I dont remember what he said he does different but he put things in place that are supposed to help. He said my anti gravity battery was more prone to fire then his batteries were.

I've had the one mentioned on here from amazon for a little over a year. Always gave really strong cranks up until last week and now I'm getting a lazy/slow to crank. I'm do some testing on it tonight. Just glancing at it, it's still showing 13.3 - 13.6v at rest

I overwinter my car with the oem battery refitted and on a tender to keep everything up together, last year my lithium battery cranked right up when replaced into the car and was good to go after being left alone.Don’t want to burn my garage down.
