There aren’t a lot of parts on that car that are going to make it faster. You added a lot of weight and some reinforcement, but not a lot of HP. I don’t see any need for a BAP as I don’t see any reason why you would be running out of fuel. Am I missing mods somewhere (or are you)? The AFE should come off, thought there was a class action lawsuit re: that CAI.

Stock boost has only gone 9s for 1 guy and 1 tuner, if I recall correctly. You’re right where you should be for the stuff you have.

Can you elaborate as to why your tuner recommended a BAP?
Do you know more on the class action suit on AFe ? ….. didn't know that.

jack i don't have the afe and if you had hp tuner id send logs but mine is maxing out at times even after I cleaned it out I also have a new fpcm ,new pump and honestly wish I didn't have to get a boost a pump but I do agree with curt I need a safety net and he recommended it ,other then the trash possibly being the cause I have no answers even when I removed the first pump Saturday there was some what I will call lint like material on the filter ( will send a pic in a moment ) but the overall filter on the side you will not be able to see had nothing on it and the can part didn't have much of anything in it but yesterday when I pulled it there was quite a bit of trash in the can part but it wasn't like that on the previous pump here’s a pic I sent hpindy of the first pump I pulled Saturday and it maxed out to the point fuel went to 54 psi but in the log it happened right at the end of the run and I may have been letting off the throttle 860019DD-B14B-42E4-8671-3E8ECED43A2A.jpeg

What PID are you referencing that leads to input on a BAP? If it's "Fuel Pump Commanded DC" I don't "think" that's indicative of a fuel delivery issue. For example, in one of my logs I'm at part throttle 2200 RPM and that pid is 73%. Mine frequently shows 100% at WOT but Lambda, Injector PW, and fuel pressure are all stellar.

I believe this is also a metric that can be manipulated in the actual tune itself. I remember Mike mentioning something about it when we played with E85, he turned it up to produce more pressure when we were testing.

Mike taught me to watch for INJ DC and INJ PW. Both with go up when fuel delivery is a problem.

when the fuel pump maxes out the idc goes up we can see this in my logs remember I was thinking the injectors weren't enough but in fact the car was running out of pump but when the fuel pump let says doesn't go over like 85 % duty cycle as an example and the fuel pressure performs properly the idc is good ,even when its hitting 100% percent duty cycle my lamda is still ok probably because its tuned a little fat ,I sent you logs to look at you will see the idc go to 90 fuel pressure is at 73psi i believe,,look at the first log at around 83 mph right at redline in the pass you will see it,
as for adding pressure in the tune mine was set on that in the race gas but it wiuld max out to the point it would go into failsafe and drop back down to 54 psi
on pump gas tune i never had it do that but it still saw 100 on pump duty cycles
and idc go to 90
heres curts reply word for word

Ya it's still really maxing the pump. If it were me I'd put a bap on it to give you a little head room.

now as I saw in yours and hpindys logs yall are at .84 on eq command mine is at .79 but curt said he prefers it that way but did say on my race gas tune we could go .81 ,,remember I had a tuner before curt and with curt my car runs so much better and seems to give me piece of mind when I race it now ,and as yuou already know some of the headaches were of my own creation
Here’s a screenshot so others can see what I’m seeing this was a pass Friday evening in race tune with the pump set up for 90 psi there are two areas in the logs 3D2578CF-595E-4963-B214-7D2120BB5065.jpeg 4834508A-B23B-46DF-8ED5-DBB31691C2E7.jpeg 8EF5D719-2BBD-40E2-8626-F548CABF518D.jpeg

There’s actually another point where I see 36 psi fuel pressure image.jpg

If the Inj DC is going over 100 def something going on. I don't think mine's ever gone over 55%. You have 3.09 gears?

With E85 needing 30% more fuel, I'm wondering if I can test it again on my setup. 55% + 30 is 85%, but it may not work that way.

I'll have to see if you're logging INJ PW, I don't think that's supposed to go over 16...or 19, can't remember off the top of my head.

Lambda (or EQ) to AFR is:
.79 x 13.85 = 10.94
.81 x 13.85 = 11.21

.84 x 13.85 = 11.63

Nothing wrong with .79. I tuned mine to .83 actually, it'll just hop around a bit.

.83 x 13.85 = 11.49

I did change the tune back to stock fuel pressure and retested it with the 93 tune and it didn't act up like that but the idc did get high

it seems to me that when the fuel pump is spot on in the logs under wot you will see the pressure stay above 79 psi the entire time when somethings going on be it the pump state of health or a restriction at the pump you will see it drop down below that 79 psi or better threshold to like 73 or 74 psi and it may go back up but somethings causing it to do this,,when my pump spot on it never sees over 87% duty cyle and the idc never goes over 86 %

I took a look at my tune and my VSFP pressure is set to 100 a bit earlier than stock, so mine's gonna always show 100% at WOT due to the kPA it's set to 100% in tune.

Looking at my log from Street Car Takeover (only track logs I have on the new setup) my INJ DC max in the log is 53.5%, INJ PW 9.8ms and fuel pressure fluctuates between 75 and 80psi to give you some reference.

the pump at 100% duty cycle is actually maxed out even if the the fuel pressure is say 80 psi because like I said if its healthy it doesn't have to max out the achieve that fuel pressure ,but what is happening when the computer doesn't see the desired pressure it basically pulls out a whip and forces the pump to work harder to maintain production ,I specialize in transmissions and pulse width is something we deal with everyday ,for example a slipping converter clutch will caused the pcm to command the pwm solenoid a higher percentage to help raise the pressure to prevent slippage when it get maxed out and sees the slippage is still outside paramaters then a p0741,p1870 etc fault will be stored ,normally you will not see the pwm % that high in a healthy transmission with a healthy clutch and no internal pressure leakage ..worn valves ,defective solenoids bad converter clutch etc ,will contribute to this ,,
in comparison the fuel pump is working so much harder then what is required which in turn will lead the early failure

Here is a pic I took of trash in the bottom of the pump , I’ll most likely have to pull the tank and clean it out 5744C583-817F-4F39-9C6C-7AD6AD0350BF.jpeg

I believe while it sat at the dealer they had the pump out and didn't cover the tank and that lint looking material ids the insulation from under the seat

I agree & have you checked the fuel pressure sensor ?...they have been known to be a issue ?
